The flagship mare of Jump Start Farm, Jete, is a lovely Holsteiner mare who carries noble blood of Schleswig, Holstein. She is by the Calypso II son, Columbus who is the sire of top dressage and jumper champions including two approved stallions. Caylpso II – an international show jumper under M. Ruping – has sired more than 40 approved stallions and is especially coveted as a top stallion-producing broodmare sire. Jete’s dam, the 1988 National Champion Holsteiner filly, is sired by Condino, also Champion of his stallion inspection in Holstein. Both Condino and Calypso II share the same sire, Cor de la Bryère. Cor de la Bryere is famous for revolutionizing the Holsteiner breed as we know it today and was said to exhibit the best jumping bascule and technique ever seen in the equine world.
